Visit To The Therapist

I remember,
Dreams I used to have.
It was such a long time ago.
God!
They all used to be so corny.
Filled with such noble things.
You know.
Love. Happiness.
All that mushy stuff.
I used to be drawn to that shit.
Like that one saying,
A moth to a flame.
But hey,
They were dreams,
Right?
No use in having bad dreams.
Unless that's your preference.
If so,
Have a good depression I say!
Oh, I'm just joking.
Seriously,
Keep dreaming.
Dreams are where we keep hope.
Even if it's the most faint,
The most vague sparkle of light,
We can ever hope to achieve.
Without dreams,
We have nothing.
You know?
No desires. No goals.
Might as well not even be alive.
Just kick that bucket
And call it quits.
So don't give up on dreams.
Not yet.
You can think your dreams
Are the most corny dreams
On the planet
But there's nothing shallow,
In being happy.
Oh…
Well Sir,
Looks like your time is up.
Hope to see you again next week.
My bill is in the mail.
