The River's End

Days wonder and turn into endless nights.
Croak said the frog and save a woman's life.
But neither budged and let her lungs fill
Till her face disappeared from the river's end.
Safety they searched. Safety from the shrills.
More frogs came and cried their tears.
The frogs looked but could never comprehend,
How one frog failed to swim.
But what came to pass,
Beyond a hidden path,
Two kids croaked frogs and dreamt of the past.
Where they kept secrets to never spill.
Never spoken they remained,
As endless nights wondered into days.
